This species is one of the more compact Coelogyne species native to Nepal and China; which require intermediate or cool weather, shade or bright filter light. It needs a little dry winter in order to spikes. One bulb can produce 2-4 growths, then will turn to spikes later. Each spike will given 6-12 pure white flowers in Spring. Continue to water the plant until this state has been reached and all the bulbs are plump then reduce the watering right down for the winter.
